XARXA Asociación de mujeres con discapacidad

The XARXA Association Of Women With Disabilities was funded in Valencia in 2005 with the aim to create a space for information, training and dialogue where women of any age can contribute to achieving real equal opportunity.

The association is mainly organized by women who work to achieve the full normalization of the life of women with disabilities and gender equality. They also offer training and consulting to immigrants, Roma community and young people in situations of social risk and defence of human rights.

For all these disadvantaged categories they offer the following services:

• Care and information service for women with disabilities
• Legal advice
• Psychological counselling
• Training to promote the improvement of employability.
• Empowerment of women
• Socio-labour integration
• Workshops and courses
• Prevention and fight against violence against women and girls with disabilities.
